The Grill Squad is a tight-knit collective of distinct Kenyan pitmasters who are widely credited with transforming Nairobi’s traditional nyama choma culture into an elevated, world-class artisanal craft. Driven by a shared love for meat, fire, and camaraderie, this team of friends operates with specialized roles—ranging from low-and-slow wood-smoking to custom marinades and entertainment. To showcase their skills, they created The Meat Up Fest, which has grown into Kenya's premier all-you-can-eat barbecue festival.
